Before a week ago Instagram launched a video to its popular camera app. On its major competitor it is previously had a dramatic impact.

On Twitter has tanked Vine sharing. To evaluate how many times Twitter users have shared instagram.com links against vine.co links, and the chart is not attractive for Vine We be able to use Topsy’s free analytics tool.

On June 20 Vine sharing went into a nosedive the day of Instagram’s announcement. On June 19 here were almost 2.5 million Vine links shared as Topsy shows. Then on the 20th a little more than 1.5 million a go down of almost 40 percent in one day. On Twitter Vine sharing it has continual to go down over the week since Instagram video published. Yesterday seemed less than 900,000 Vine links shared on Twitter that’s at about a 70 percent drop from the almost three million links that were shared on June 15th.

Since its video launch Instagram has not really seen a vast uptick in Twitter sharing. Over the past few days, the number of shares is similar to early- and mid-June. in the last week Vine sharing is way down. Back on June 8th reverse lower Instagram later than a short run that started when Vine shares passed Instagram.

It depends on Vine like how it makes a proper use of its ability compel users to sharing and shooting videos again like before.

Facebook Creating Flipboard

Facebook Creating Flipboard

As according to a report a new news reader is being developing by Facebook with an emphasis on mobile devices. As report says like for over a year called “Reader,” the Flipboard-like news aggregation tool were in development.

In March by the side of a press event broadcasting a revamped Facebook News Feed. For News Feed o explained their aspiration, CEO Mark Zuckerberg and others used the metaphor of a “personalized newspaper”. On that vision it seems that, News Feed was merely a down-payment if it is a correct report.

It is difficult to say it will succeed or fail, exclusive of seeing how it works, it’s impossible to speculate on. To a Facebook news aggregation tool, how news organizations will react it is also very difficult to say. Though, a lot of may welcome it as another basis of traffic and substitute to Google.

Earlier this month Israel-based navigation company Waze acquired by Google. At present, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission is sure about the move is not anti-competitive.

About a review by FTC lawyers Google has confirmed it’s been contacted it is just a report yet. One can surely see where a Waze acquisition could have completed another company more viable with the dominant Google Maps, but it’s difficult to say if Google’s acquisition of the company will smother competition.

The information that the acquisition has previously closed could work in Google’s favor. As the report says like antitrust lawyers have pointed to that it would be improbable for the FTC to demand Google reverse the daal with no important evidence, but the commission could ask Google not to put together Waze until the review is over.

Building Blocks To Create A Small Business Blog

Posted by peterzmijewski | Filed under Internet Marketing

Peter Zmijewski

Peter Zmijewski

1) Ownership

A very good blog would be hosted on your own servers and utilize a domain. Blogs would be valuable as they are owned content giving perpetual equity. Therefore, a very good blog would not be hosted on Wordpress or Blogspot—you would not own those domains, plus the equity you are making would belong to some other company.

2) SEO

A very good blog would be optimized with a strong SEO foundation. Blogs may be great weapons in an online marketing package when the blog would be set up in a correct manner and when articles would be optimized with keywords that resulted from accurate research from blogs like KeywordSpy. A blog has to be made for humans, but that would not mean it could not also be optimized for search engines.

3) Variety

A good blog would be one that would offer variety. Maybe not a variety of topics—should you be an attorney, we do not suggest that you begin blogging regarding your choice movies—but variety of content types, styles plus presentation. Putting in list articles (Top 10s and the like) would be great, but readers will be bored if that would be the only thing you make. Give readers variety to keep them interested.

4) Consistency

Good blogs would post new content in a consistent manner. We would not go so far as to mention that you have to publish on an exact schedule, but we will mention that you have to keep the blog active and alive with new content.

You will struggle to make a loyal readership should you publish 3-4 times in a week, and then not again for one month. You have to be consistent, publish regularly, locate a schedule fitting your business and sticking with it.

5) Community

A very good blog would make a community through inviting reader participation. This may occur in various ways—it would be through smart discussion in the comments of an article, or it could be through readers suggesting topics to write about.

6) Keeping It Real

A good blog would be authentic and is built to endow the company with a voice, not to give the company another channel for the sales pitches. Being a business owner would be tough, no matter the industry or employees. Some days you create good decisions and some days you do not. At times you have answers for clients and other times you don’t. Either way, readers would like to know what they’re reading is real. They would like you to talk with them and not at them. Make sure the blog would be much more than just another place for sales pitches. Tell stories, both good and bad.

7) Goals

All the above mentioned would appear great and happy and like it would make unicorns be lively in your monitor, but you do not forget that if you blog for business, you have to perform with goals in mind. You have to know reasons why you do a company blog. You have to center on the metrics which would matter most, whether they are related to leads, sales, social visibility, increased brand awareness and the like. Keep goals in mind as you work on all the focus points mentioned.

For using the new Graph Search Facebook is giving you facility to discover all of the cool things that you can search. A new, random Graph Search query will be generated by a link. That is in testing yet.

On the left-hand side of their homepage, in the “Favorites” section a few users are seeing a “Browse” link. This is wherever you get it with the old news feed design. As some users says like they are not able to find it anywhere within the new news feed design as it has only rolled out to a very small fraction of users.

A random Graph Search query is being generated by this Graph Search query like “Places that my friends visited,” “Favorite book of my friends,” “Musicians liked by people who have interests similar to me.” And “Video from my friends’ favorite TV shows,” There’s a apparently unlimited amount of exclusive searches that Facebook will create for you. If you are fed up, you could absolutely kill some time with this.

To provide feedback Facebook is inviting more Pages on recent updates it has made to Page Insights.

Facebook said in a blog post – “We heard from many Page admins that they want more insight into the actions that make up PTAT (People Talking About This), For instance, how people’s liking their business Page differs from people’s interacting with their posts. For this reason, we’re breaking out PTAT into elements that will now be reported separately as Page Likes, People Engaged (the number of unique people who have clicked on, liked, commented on, or shared your posts), Page tags and mentions, Page checkins, and other interactions on a Page. PTAT as a combined metric will still be available for Page admins not participating in the new Insights preview.”

The company also included in his talk like in Page Insights the virality metric is regularly used as a benchmark for Page post quality. In its measurement however, this metric does not take in clicks like in providing marketers with metrics around overall post quality, it is a strong indicator of positive post engagement and a key piece. To ‘engagement rate thus company is including clicks in this metric and renaming ‘virality”.

SEO Tasks To Complete Before Even Hiring An Agency

Posted by peterzmijewski | Filed under Internet Marketing

Peter Zmijewski

Peter Zmijewski

There are a lot of small business owners which would try to locate a balance between hiring an SEO agency and trying to do a few things on one’s own. It would make sense to want to attain control over a website, and it would make sense to familiarize oneself with the process first so that you could get a great agency. But there would be a fine line between what SEO tasks a company has to perform first and what SEO tasks a company should leave to experts. If you are trying to find out what to do before you hire an agency to keep such control, do not sweat it. Here are seven things to keep in mind:

A. Possess clear goals in mind. This may not be something to think about for most, but it is worth the mention just in case. Prior to you going out to get an SEO agency to aid in your efforts, you have to ensure that you have clear goals in mind. This would not necessarily imply SEO goals but rather means goals for the entire company as a whole. Who would be your audience, what you want your audience to gain, etc.

B. Get your own great content writer. Understanding good SEO would not imply much if you do not understand great content. A lot of SEO agencies would be equipped with content writers, but it would be helpful to have your own writer which you hired working with the company. This is to aid you start to understand what it would be that you really want out of your content, and it would aid give you control at the beginning. It would be hard to know what you want until you really get going, so hiring your own writer would be a good way to make that happen.

C. Start building links. Some would advise against this as there would be a chance that a company will begin building bad links, but most of companies could handle creating links for a short time prior to consulting the help of an agency. Beginning to create internal links together with linking out to other sites that would be well known would be a good way to build up PR and credibility prior to an agency getting to you. It will aid in speeding things up.

D. Create relationships across the web. It would never be a bad idea to get started regarding talking with others across the web. Create guest articles plus begin establishing such relationships. This is also going to speed up agency’s efforts when it comes time.

E. Dabble with social media. Make a social media account for the company on all the large networks. You may not know exactly how to optimize these, but at least having a presence will aid in giving you a jumpstart.

F. Install an SEO plugin. Installing an SEO plugin to the site will aid in giving you an idea about what it would take to optimize a piece of content. This will aid you know what to look for when hiring an agency. KeywordSpy’s SEO/PPC Plugin is one such example, and you can use it for either MS Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox.

G. Familiarize yourself with source code. This will be a bit trickier, but a couple of aspects of web development would not be too hard to comprehend. Do a bit of research on the canonical tag and familiarize yourself with what it would appear to be and why it would matter. A clue: This would be the tag that would deal with duplicate content.

Of course, a lot of individuals would be able to complete all SEO tasks with no help of an agency or expert. It would often be a good idea to consult one or the other and/or go to seminars to ensure you would be on the correct track; but it would really be possible to complete steps stated above and just keep going.

A new carousel feature for local search is announced by Google today. It seems like the just previous redesigned Knowledge Graph carousel but different as it has local businesses and their Zagat scores.

“Give it a go—type or say “mexican restaurants,” or try any similar search for restaurants, bars or hotels. Click on one of the places in the carousel to get more details on it, including its overall review-based score, address and photos. If you want to see more places, click the arrow at the right of the carousel. And you can zoom in on the map that appears below the carousel to restrict your search to only places in a specific area.” – Said by Google in a blog post.

For local businesses this feature could be good that do not essentially rank at the top of local results, as it includes more advantages on the page, and supports users to scroll throughout them.
